Check (Share Draft) Image Retrieval
Check Image retrieval is now available to members through Online Banking and best of all IT'S FREE. You will be able to use your home PCs to retrieve your check images from Southeast Corporate who processes all of our checks.
To use this feature you will have to be setup for Online Banking. There are two methods for retrieving your check images:
First Method:
1. Click on the HISTORY button
a. Then click on SHARE HISTORY.
b. Select the Share Draft (checking) account from the drop down box.
c. Enter the date range
d. Then click the CONTINUE button
2. The Share transaction History Inquiry is displayed
a. You then click on the check number (in red) under the Misc heading.
b. Online Banking opens a window with a message stating that the time to retrieve the check image will vary depending on the type of internet connection you have.
c. When the check image is retrieved the front and back of the check is displayed.
d. You then have two options one is to click on the PRINT button to print the check to their local printed or click on the CLOSE button to close the display.
Second Method:
3. You click on the RECENT ACTIVITY button
a. Then you click on RECENT CHECK CLEARING.
b. Select the Share Draft (checking) account from the drop down box.
c. Enter the date range
d. Then click the CONTINUE button
4. The Check Clearing Inquiry is displayed
a. You then click on the check number (in red) under the Check heading.
b. Online Banking opens a window with a message stating that the time to retrieve the check image will vary depending on the type of internet connection the member has.
c. When the check image is retrieved the front and back of the check is displayed.
d. You have two options one is to click on the PRINT button to print the check to their local printed or click on the CLOSE button to close the display.
The first method gives more detail about the transaction.
Note: There are two exceptions on retrieving check images:
First exception is that the check must have been posted to your account on or after August 6, 2007, that is when Southeast Corp started processing our checks. If you try to retrieve a check prior to this date an error window will display stating "All checks written prior to August 6, 2007 have to be requested online by selecting CHECK OPTIONS and then selecting REQUEST COPY OF CHECK or call the Call Center." We will continue to charge for this option.
Second exception is if the check was handled as a ACH transaction, for example if you pay Wal-Mart by check they scan your check and create a ACH transaction and give you your check back. The check clears your account as an ACH transaction not a Draft transaction even though a check number is recorded there is no image to retrieve. If you select one of these checks an error window is displayed informing them to contact the Credit Union.
